Top Players from the West Come Together As One

This will be our 5th season of competition at the U19 level. We select tournaments that are at the highest level of play and will expose players to colleges in several regions across the US.

Last season our U19s played in Canada, Connecticut, Lake Placid and Minnesota - competing well in each venue. Many of the tournaments had high level of scouting, for example the Thoroughbred Tournament had 46 coaches registered. Several players were scouted by the colleges. Offers were made from 3 to our high school seniors and several of our juniors hit the radar for next year's college list.

If you have aspirations to play with the best, and take a shot at playing for some of the best colleges in the country, this is your chance to be seen.

U16 Team Is Possible - If the numbers allow us to create both a U16 and a U19 team, then we will be adding the U16 level to our organization. We will not know that until the try-outs in September. The U16 schedule will be the same as the U19 schedule ... costs will be the same.

Travel

Transportation to and from tournaments is the responsibility of the parents. There are 3 airline tickets to be purchased by the parents and travel to try-outs, practice and local games to consider. We encourage “car-pooling” when at all possible.

Players are required to stay in 'player' rooms with their team mates, 4 players in each room at ALL tournaments.

See you on the ice!

Latest News
U19 Team ends their season on a high-note in Richmond Canada.

The U19s were all business in their last tournament of 2008 and we the team to beat as they looked to be one of the strongest teams in the mix.

Making it into the semi-finals the team looked in control, but could not find the net, so lost in a nail biter, (0-1).

The eventual winner was a team that the NWS had beat, so ... it was close to another tournament win for the NWS.

Shannon goes to Finlandia - One of the NWS Selects founding players will be attending Finlandia in upper Michigan State this fall. Shannon was scouted at one of the NWS Selects tournaments in the past season and is excited to start her college hockey career there.

Good Luck Shannon.
