The Richmond tournament was the season finale for the NWS. All three teams attended: U12, U14, U19. All teams were entered in the top level for their age brackets (AA). While the girls did not win every game, they we competitive across the board and made a strong showing against some of the best talent in Western Canada.
U12s - The team played extremely well, winning their first ... tying the second and dropping the last 2. They played hard with and without the puck and were in every game. Mel did great in nets!!!
U14s - The Bantams played several very intense games on their way to the championship game on Sunday. In the final game, the U14s took control after a tough first period. Paula stood on her head in nets and the U14s roared to a (2-0) victory and the championship. To see game pictures click here.
U19s - The Midgets played with heart all weekend, but could not find the net in the first 2 contests. The scoring started in the third, but penalties plagued them as they gave up several PK goals. Alyssa held her own, even against teams that thought the crease was a KOA campground, but it was not enough to post a win this time around.
