What People Are Saying

To all involved with North West Selects ... I would like to thank the NW Select, Coaches and the Parents for giving us (my family) an opportunity to be part of NW Selects and the two tournaments. I took great pleasure in helping in the recent trip and if the opportunity ever comes up again I would gladly help in way I can.

We also are so thankful for the whole NW Selects crew and program.  Playing for the Selects, particularly for Candace and Kim, has raised Jerin's abilities, her passion for hockey and her confidence to play the sport.  Candace and Kim have taught Jerin more about team play, strategy and positioning than any other outlet Jerin has ever participated in.  The comraderie that has developed amongst the girls and the parents has helped Jerin and us feel connected to the sport of hockey so much more than the boys' programs ever do.  We are so grateful for the people and the organization that celebrate girls in hockey.  We really feel like we're a part of something quality when we run with the NW Selects program.  Thanks for the Burnaby Tournament!  We loved that one last year...and this year was even better!  Can't wait to see everyone again soon.  Go Selects!

I just wanted to thank each and everyone one of you for again making being a part of this team a wonderful experience!  I hope your daughters had as much fun as we did.  Everytime we show up for a NW Selects tournament I am reminded why we take the time out of our busy schedules and drive many hours or fly from far away places to be a part of this team.  I once again have been impressed, not only by how wonderful all the parents are, but how amazing your daughters are!

First of all I want to thank the coaches and team manager for putting together a wonderful activity for my daughter…she truly grew from the experience… Secondly I want to thank all the parents and girls on the team for making this a wonderful experience for myself and my daughter….am looking forward to the next time…

Just a note to let you know how much (our daughter) enjoyed playing with your organization in Burnaby last weekend.  We have seen a renewed energy in her skating and her game since that time.  As parents, we were impressed by the caree and professionalism of the whole NW Selects organization for their girls.  We look forward to further involvement in the future! - Parents

I can't say enough about what a great weekend this was for the girls. The coaching was superb, both in terms of skills and motivation, and the information shared, especially regarding the "how to" of college recruiting was priceless information. My daughter is still on cloud nine after meeting the college players and hearing their stories. I think the overall message she received was viewing hockey as a gateway to bigger and beter things in life. Thanks again for assembling such a quality team and giving our girls such a golden opportunity! I know that much time and effort went into making this happen, but you should know that the dividends I'm seeing on this end are huge. I'm hoping you both continue and expand this program in the future. We will be back for sure. - Bellingham, Wa - Dad

I don't know what the lady doing dry-land training in Kennewick (Robin) did to motivate my daughter but she is a running, doing push ups, sit-ups and loves to wall-sit. Now if I could only get her to clean her room :-)- Mom

Just wanted to drop a note and say how impressed I was with the camp at Tri-Cities. My daughter had a fantastic time and as an observer of several camps/clinics over the past few years, I have to say the format was the most comprehensive and provided my hockey player the best lessons for improving we have seen yet. Best 8 hours of ice time I have paid for yet!!! - Mom

Congrats!!! I looked on your web site and saw the game summaries from your Langley win. You guys did great!! You can be very proud of your program. - Global Sports Camp Scout

I have NEVER personally known any team to win so dramatically – it’s the stuff we dream about and live for! - Assistant Coach Portland Jr. Hawks About the Langley Tournament Win.

As the assistant coach for North Medford High School let me say it was a pleasure to have your girls team come down and play. Your kids are first rate and you have some very good players. We look forward to playing you guys next month. Thanks for your participation, we appreciate it.

"I have never seen such a talented group of female hockey players. Your team was fun to watch and very good." -- Bremerton Parent

"After seeing you guys play, I want to coach girls teams from now on. The way they pass, communicate and assist each other was unbelievable. You guys have a great group of girls and they are a great team. We need to play you more ... maybe my players (boys) will learn something." -- Kent Bantam Coach

"Your team really came out fast in that last game, which was great to see. And I really want you to know how classy your team is... good sports who worked really hard! I don't know her name, but one of your players -- she is a really good player, and after each of the games came through the line with a smile on her face, and gave each player and coach a really firm handshake. More than anything, she just really seemed to revel in playing the game, which was fantastic. What a great spirit!" -- Eugene Coach

"Just wanted to drop you a note regarding your girls team -- I have been a coach and observer of the local hockey scene for more than 10 years now and up until lately no program of any substance existed for girls. I believe you are doing a tremendous service to the team of this year as well as all female players of the future. It was a pleasure to see the hockey development taking place on your team. Good luck in the months/years ahead." -- Mt. View Maverick Coach

"You guys did a great job this weekend. A new standard has been set not just for the girls program, but for youth hockey in the area. Personally I really like the mini camp idea. It's an excellent springboard for starting the year. Keep up the good work!" -- Parent

"This is the best coached and disciplined girls team I have ever seen. You guys were great to watch." -- Wisconsin Referee
